Psychosocial adaptation to chronic heart failure in patients with coronary heart disease

Aim. To assess the effects of acquired social status, neurotic conditions, type D personality, cognitive functions, quality life and adherence to treatment on psychosocial adaptation patients with coronary heart disease (IHD) chronic failure (CHF), depending severity decompensation.
 Methods. 87 artery aged between 55 72 years were examined. All divided into two groups functional class [New York Heart Association (NYHA) IIV]. The first group included 41 NYHA III, second 46 IIIIV. For a comprehensive study patients, set standardized questionnaires was used: abridged variant Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (SMOL), clinical questionnaire for identifying assessing condition, Living Failure Questionnaire (MLHFQ), 36-Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36), Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), 14-question test Type Scale-14 (DS14), MoriskyGreen test, short version AUDIT (AUDIT-C). We collected data patient's status: gender, education, income level. results obtained analyzed.
 Results. Based SMOL personality profiles, classified as an increase noted in three scales: hypochondria (U=541; p=0.030), hysteria (U=579; p=0.048), autism/schizoid (U=577.5; p=0.047) compared group. According identification assessment greatest differences found scale autonomic disorders (U=571; p=0.039) depression (U=576; p=0.046). Comparing according MLHFQ score, markedly reduced (U=447.5; p 0.001). SF-36 questionnaire, decrease also Physical functioning (U=554; p=0.032) component health (U=573.5; p=0.044). status significantly decreased (U=427; No significant (U=757; p=0.666). Also, there no both subscales (U=717.5; p=0.483, U=784; p=0.933) AUDIT-C scores, are men (U=681.5; p=0.257) women (U=728.5; p=0.425) patients.
 Conclusion. Signs maladjustment more severe expressed by pronounced isolation (autism), tendency avoid communicating others, their own problems hypochondriacal attention somatic manifestations failure; probably, main reason that reduces level is high score neuroticism, which leads abilities deterioration life.
